This book was commissioned by Independent senator, Mr. Ken Ramchand. Initially I was asked to do the cover design, but when I saw the intentions for its contents, I felt compelled to do the whole book. This is a very important diary of the experiences of one of Trinidad and Tobago’s great cricketers. This book deserved to be treated as a serious historical document on cricket.

The National Museum wanted to commemorate the presence of the Cricket Cup to Trinidad and Tobago, a first in this hemisphere. Caribbean people are rabid cricket fans and artists have shown whole collections on the theme. The museum featured a diverse selection of works and our objective was to make all that we worked with appealing within the limitations of using one folded sheet of paper to capture the spirit of the game.

The National Museum of Trinidad and Tobago requested a calendar that they could distribute for free to both staff and the general public. The art pieces were reshot by Richard and we chose to create a very clean, graphic calendar that would highlight the art work in such a way that we did not compromise the level of art. Some of the pieces were naturally stronger than others, so our personal goal was to make everything look as balanced as possible.
